    At GPC Logistics, combined transport means the integration of at least two modes of transport within the same logistics chain, without changing the container, within a Intermodal Transport Unit (ITU) (such as container, swap body, semi-trailer). The routes are operated by:

      • Steam train, waterway ou short sea shipping (cabotage) for the main routes.
      • Route for initial and/or final courses.

      Combined transport combines the advantages of different modes of transport:

      • The railway ou the waterway, suitable for transporting large quantities over long distances.
